Council Boys Axe 28″ 2-1/4 Lb – 28″ Hickory Handle Council Tool Boys Axe has a 2.25 lb Dayton pattern axe head outfitted with a 28 inch curved hickory handle. Its hand sharpened, tapered bit is used for cutting and light splitting. Axe head is hydraulically seated onto handle and secured with a serrated aluminum wedge. Axe head is drop forged from high quality tool steel and is heat coated with red enamel. Cutting edge has clear lacquer to deter rust. The serrated shape improves bite, and the aluminum choice of material is strong, lightweight, and does not change size with moisture content. Made in USA.
