Best used for electrical lockout applications as part of a comprehensive OSHA compliant lockout/tagout safety programme. Wall switch cover locks out both toggle and paddle wall switches with a padlock (sold separately) to help protect against switch operation during maintenance and repair. Dimensions: 4-3/4 in. (121 mm) L x 1-3/4 in. (44 mm) W x 1 in. (25 mm) D; Accepts padlock shackle up to 5/16 in. (8 mm) in diameter (padlocks sold separately). Create a lockout tagout programme specific to the machinery in your facility, including equipment that is not capable of being locked out. Use Master Lock lockout devices for equipment that can be locked out and tagout devices to identify who is performing maintenance. Teach employees the lockout tagout procedures and be sure authorised employees can perform the procedure accurately. Monitor and maintain that the implemented procedures are being performed. Lockout tagout procedures as well as employees should be audited at least annually. Lockout tagout devices are best used as part of a comprehensive OSHA compliant lockout tagout safety programme.
