Betaseal U-428 Dow Auto Glass Primerless Urethane/Sealant/Adhesive with Single Application Primer

Details: DuPont U428+ is a very high quality adhesive that is designed to direct glaze or structurally bond automotive glass including back-lites, windshields, quarter glass and other stationary glass. DuPont U428+ is also capable of attaching hardware to glass and back filling to install moldings or other trim. DuPont U428+ is a conventional-cure one-component black paste adhesive. DuPont U428+ relies on humidity, temperature and time to achieve a full cure. The humidity in the air causes a chemical reaction in this adhesive. This process cures the urethane adhesive from the outside to the center as moisture diffuses in the material. The greater the temperature and relative humidity, the greater the decrease in curing time of this adhesive. With a relative humidity between 50 to 70 percent and a temperature greater than 90 degrees F, the estimated cure time is approximately 5 hours.
